Vecoplan Paper Shredders
Vecoplan began in 1969 in Bad Marienberg, Germany as a
manufacturer of of wood shippers to provide material for he
creation of paper to paper mills. Vecoplan soon
shifted the focus of their focus to creating size reduction
equipment, and produced the first single shaft rotary
grinder in 1983, according to their website. the
innovator of this design, Wolfgang Lipowski, is still with
the company acting as the technical director for the
company.
Vecoplan currently is held by M.A.X. Holding AG, having
been purchased in 1995. Vecoplan employees around 200
people, and has designed all types of systems throughout the
world, with over 5,000 units and complete packages
worldwide. Furthermore, in 2000 Vecoplan made a strategic
move to begin operations in the United States, and was aided
in this endeavor through the purchase of ReTech Industries,
which already had a presence in the U.S. marketplace.
The paper shredders for the American market have been
changed to integrate American components into the products.
