Paper Shredders for Contractors
There are all types of contractors for almost every
business sector. From home contractors, building
contractors, to technical design contractors, most all
contractors deal with consumer information as well as
documents that are not for the general public. Thus in
most contractors will at one time or another over the course
of a year need to discard paperwork that should be destroyed
first. The easiest way to do this is with a paper
shredder. While some larger contractors may need a
heavy duty paper shredder, most small contractors can use a
home paper shredder.
Contractors on a daily basis work with clients' plans and
design specifications, and this information should not be
discarded without destroying it properly. Similarly,
most contractors produce estimates and proposals that they
do not want in the wrong hands. Documents such as
these that are the possession of the contractor, may not
have legal ramifications if lost, but they can result in
damage to your business, if they are taken by your
competitors, or more commonly, taken by your employees.
Protect yourself form these problems with an inexpensive
paper shredder; the crosscut type is the best.
Furthermore, contractors must ensure that their clients
personal and business is kept safe. If not properly
destroyed before discarding, a contractor could open
themselves up to a federal fines and possibly a lawsuit.
Make sure all receipts, invoices, contracts or
correspondence that has your clients information on it is
sent through a crosscut shredder before you throw it away.
Paper shredders are simply an inexpensive form of business
insurance.
