The growing number of cases and legislation to prevent
consumer fraud has created a booming niche industry of paper
shredding services to handle the proper disposal of files,
records, and other paper waste. Many companies would
rather hire a company that have an in house paper shredder, or
their shredding is intermittent, but of such a volume that a
paper shredder company makes sense. Businesses must check
these companies prior to contracting work to them. The
legislation in place as established by the state and local
governments make it clear that no matter which shredder service
that you choose, you will be held responsible for any violations
that occur with respect to the mishandling of consumer
information. With that in mind, it is critical that
companies take a hard look at any company that they outsource
their paper shredding. Please see the list below of
potential candidates for your document destruction requirements,
from off-site companies, to mobile shredding companies, but
remember to do your homework and check them out thoroughly,
because you are ultimately responsible for the work that the do.
